  • Currently I’m a student @ a University. My instructor made an announcement that there is going to be a opening for a Temporary FT position the summer. I applied & I got the job.

I’m now thinking Im not so sure I want to work there FT there. This means I would have to give up my current job (I work PT flexible hrs) & have been there for 5 yrs they also work with my school schedule.

I want the best of both worlds. The new position would give me the experience that I need for the degree that Im working toward. How do I present to the applied job, that I only want PT & that I know that they r looking for FT.

My idea is to job share. There is a student in my program in which the announcement was made and she said she would be willing to share the position with me. We could get references from our instructor for her.

I don’t know how to approach this to the new Hirer. My start date is June 1.
